The signature is not part of the Exchange mailbox so it doesn't follow you
around.
The fastest way I've found in this case is to just copy and paste it into
your signature set up from one of your sent emails.

I would think that likely another MVP will come along with a much better
suggestion than this for you.

Login to the PC with your own username and password and verify with your
system admin that your Windows profile is configured as a roaming profile.
Configuration settings will now travel with you.

Thanks for your reply, this is the way i have been doing it but their is a
way whereby you create an Outlook folder in your z drive and then place
exchange file (rft?) plus another file into it but cannot remember what or
where!! or the other steps!! we use outlook 97 and 2003 and this seems to be
the problem.

Thanks for that. It is a roaming profile but a problem arises when switching
PC's from Outlook 97 to 2003. It 'holds' the last person to use the PC's
signature. Their was some way of creating an outlook folder, placing it in
your z: drive then putting some exchange settings and some other settings. I
cant remember what settings or the next steps though!

Only in his/her own Windows Profile so you wouldn't notice that when you log
on with your own credentials. Otherwise your sys admins have misconfigured
roaming profile usage.

To achieve what? I don't know where your Z-drive links to and what it is
used for.

Signatures are kept in;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures
Mail profile settings are kept in the registry.
This is why you need a roaming profile in order to make it work.

Hi, the z drive is a network drive for personal space.

The roaming profiles were fine with 97 but now they have started to use
outlook 2003 on some machines it causes this problem. of not carrying the
auto signature with the roaming profile when switching between machines that
have these different versions.

Until all are upgraded in June this is a problem.

Their was a way of creating an Outlook folder in the Z drive and adding
registry settings plus the signature etc and this would solve the issue.

Are you saying their shouldnt be a problem with switching between versions?

Many thanks for your help and comments!
