After years of no problems, now when I try replying to an email, I get the
following. Help?
Thanks.

==========

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'<contact name>' on 5/24/2005 9:15 AM
550 You must SMTP Authenticate before sending to <contact email
address>

This could be because you are using a group that has some old email addresses
in it. Check the addresses of the people you are sending too. If any are
old, delete these out.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, but that's not the solution. In my most recent example, I
successfully sent an email to this person, received his reply, and attempted
to reply to his reply. My reply didn't go out and the message below appeared
in my InBox.

It's a conundrum.

So, are you authenticating to the outgoing server?

TimeWarner doesn't require SMTP authentication. In fact, they say,
Don't.

Nearly all major ISPs do.

However, enable logging and post the contents of the log. Maybe someone
will see what exactly is happening.
