Go into the Properties of the email account select More Settings > Outgoing
server and check "My Outgoing Server requires Authentication", if this
doesn't work I would contact your ISP
I had the same problem. My ISP Earthlink helped me-- I had the settings set incorrectly for sending and recieving mail after buying a new pc.
