Outlook 2000 - Delivery Receipts Problem

J

James

I have Outlook 2000 installed and running.
I have it configured for corporate workgroup, etc. and
NOT internet mail only.
When I send a message I go to Properties and
check "Delivery Receipt" but never receive on - even when
I copy the message to another account where I
successfully received receipts when using Outlook 2002.
No receipts - despite sending messages to at least 25
different ISP accounts - are returned.
Please help.

Receiving read receipts is entirely the function of the mail client to whom
you are sending the mail. Delivery receipts are at the mercy of the ISP as
to whether they will send them.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, James asked:
