I do have to ask though, what are the numbers around the outside that go up to 500? (I know what the 1-12 is for ;)).

The numbers that go around the outside dial is actually the Tacho-productometer (TPM) or the Tachymeter in short ;)

Here is a good link that will explain the way one uses it. :thumb:

I have 4 of them, the aviator, the chronograph, the perpetual calander and the military automatic, which one are you talking about :D
