OT (somewhat) PhotoShop created images.

Think of it this way, the images have already been created for print at some point, now they are
sitting in a folder on the computer, user grabs image and uploads. Image doesn't display...

Btw,

The PS setting is in Edit/Color Settings: Web Graphics Default at the top then you set the Working
Spaces below that...sRGBxxxxx for RGB, then the one for CMYK and Gray (Gamma) below that.

Ya usually don't wanna mess with them though.

I tell ya though I have inadvertantly created CMYK for web graphics by forgetting to change my
environment from print to web, and never had a "major" problem - after doing a few you realize
something's not right :) Usually you know when you look at the color palette...oops wrong one!

Thanks.

I see no difference in the standard RGB and Progressive RGB images, except the Progressive image is
smaller in file size over the standard image.

Yeah I know. I'm thinking it may be a *combo* of progressive and CMYK? The banding in one of your examples may be a clue.

Wierd that CMYK doesn't show up at all!...I was really surprised by that. Learn sumpin' new everyday!

Could explain a lot of mysterious red x boxes though!
