options for printing frames greyed-out

My windows explorer internet browser (version 6.0 SP1)
does not allow me to change from the default option, "all
frames individually" to either "only the selected frame"
or "as laid out on screen" because all three options are
greyed out and therefore cannot be changed. These options
appear on the "options" tab of the "print window" when I
choose "print" under the "file" menu.
How can the options be restored?

Sometimes the individual or business writing the web page does not format
or code the html properly. In such cases the web page may display one way
and print another. It is possible for the page to have the frames display,
but because of the coding, internet explorer does not "see" them as frames.
That is the coder's fault, not internet explorer. The easiest way to solve
the problem is to copy the web page into Microsoft Word and then delete or
edit the frames individually and then print them.

If you are going to be responding to a post which is nearly ten months
old it would help most people if you quoted what it was...

The poster asked about "restoring" options that I'm not sure I have
ever seen enabled. I have always guessed that feature was either
"work in progress" or a driver dependent option. Can you cite an
example where I might see those options enabled? Surely not all
"coders" have done it incorrectly? <eg>
