Operation Aborted

JC

Hi,

I've recently been having problems with some websites, I
get the message 'Internet Explorer Cannot of the Internet
http://example.co.uk Operation Aborted'.

This doesnt occur on every site, only a few, Guardian
Unlimited is where I experience the most problems. This
has happened after I totally deleted Windows Messenger
from my machine but I have since re-installed that to try
and remedy the problem but still no luck.

Appreciate if anyone could help.
Thanks
Jonathon

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

Eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
