Opening Same Windows Each Session in XP

There used to be a way to have Windows open the same windows you had open the
last time you logged in to to your profile.

Does that option still exist? I can't seem to find it on help or community
forums.

Maybe you mean Hibernate? Not enough info to be sure what you're
talking about.

Thanks Twayne...
I don't think it's Hibernate.

I'm thinking of the old Windows functionality (might be pre-XP), where if
you shut down your PC, and then booted up again, the same windows you had
open before would display.

Let's say you had two different Explorer Windows open that were pointing to
two different local folders and then shut down. When you re-booted your PC,
those same Windows would have appeared again in the same arrangement as
before, and opened to the same directory structure.

Does that help explain what I am looking for?

Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab -> Put a check mark in the box
next to "Restore previous folder windows at logon" -> Click OK.

Open a couple of folders or instances of Windows Explorer, restart your
computer and see what happens.

Good luck

the op wants.
