Opening in new window, then click on previous

Hi. When I open a link in a new window, and I click immediately on the
previous window via taskbar, it doesn't switch to the previous window right
away. I have to wait about three seconds and then click it, to actually get
there.

How do I make it so that it goes to the previous screen as soon as I click
on it?

It was like that when I bought the computer(notebook). It's no problem on
my desktop, but it strangely does this on my laptop.
