Open With missing for all files.

The Open With item in Windows Explorer's context menu is
missing for all files, whether or not they are associated
with a program. I had the menu up until the recent virus
attack that caused problems all around. After that, I
haven't been able to get the Open With item. I don't know
if the virus caused the problem or if it was just a
coincidence that they happened at nearly the same time.

I've checked the registry for any key that might have the
Open With feature disabled, but could find nothing. I
also checked the
HKEY\CLASSES\ROOT\Software\Unknown\Command\OpenAs key and
it showed the following value:

%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32
\shell32.dll,OpenAs_RunDLL %1

This looks normal to me. But even if this wasn't normal
it would only explain the lack of an Open With menu item
for files that are not associated with a program. As I
mentioned earlier, I can't get Open With for any file,
associated or not.

This has me pretty well stumped and it's very frustrating
because the work that I do requires that I often open the
same file type with different programs. It is enormously
inconvenient to have to go through the process of opening
a program and steering it to the folder I'm in, compared
to simply right-clicking the file, and opening with the
program of my choice from the list. Any help would be
appreciated. An Email reply would also be appreciated.
