Open Ports

I keep getting msgs. telling me i have open ports and
hackers are able to attack my system. How can I find the
open ports and delet or close them?

Netstat -an can tell you what open ports you have at the moment. It is the job of a
firewall to protect your computer from unwanted access. You can go to a free self
scan site such as http://scan.sygatetech.com/ to do a quick scan to check for basic
vulnerability. There are free personal firewalls for download it you do not currently
use one. Zone Alarm is Ok for novice users while Sygate and Kerio are more powerful,
but require more knowledge to configure. --- Steve
