This is an open letter complaint about MSN.
Granted, I don't know what logistics are involved with keeping a program
like thing functioning properly for millions of people. Granted, the program
is free.
However, I am encountering more and more instances of Messaging people,
never getting a response, then speaking to them the next day and them
claiming they were there the whole time and never got the message. Worse,
Hotmail email filtering is so extreme that on any given day, even if both
parties are on eachother's contact lists and security is set to default
levels, you have a 50% chance that your Hotmail email is going to actually
be seen by the person you sent it to.
Today, I had a frustrating example of both happening at the same time. While
I had no problems chatting anyone else all weekend, one guy didn't receive
any of my Messenger notes, and when I sent an email through Hotmail as a
backup to make sure he'd get the notice before today, he claims he never got
it. And it's not in his Junk folder either.
I have always been 100% pro-MSN Messenger & Hotmail... and I truly
appreciate the increased storage limits and everything... but no matter what
features you choose to add or how much storage space you give us, if our
messages aren't going to hit their destination now and then, that makes the
whole thing unreliable.
There's something terribly wrong when two people can see eachother online
and at their computers, but one person's messages aren't reaching the other.
Please work on this problem ASAP.
Thanks.
