Open and closing windows...

Not sure I can explain this properly--but when i first got the new
computer with Vista Home Premium and would be opening an application, when
it opened or closed the window seem to 'expand' and 'contract' with opening
and closing- this no longer happens and I don't know what I may have changed
to have done this-- does anyone understand what I am talking about and/or
have a solution?? THANKS!

Try this. Type Advanced System Properties in the Start Menu search box.
Right click on the file and choose Run as Administrator.
Click on the Settings... button. On the Visual Effects tab, make sure
"Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing is checked". By default,
all choices should be checked, I believe. (Apply, OK).
