Online Broadcast - Media Server

Trying to broacast a PPT2003 file from my XP box loaded
with encoder version 9. Windows Media Server is on a
2000 Server box with Online Broadcast service started.
When I start the broadcast, an error suggesting the
Windows Media Server ASF session failed to start. Any
help with this is appreciated.

Glenna, thanks for your help and patience. I reveiwed
the white paper and implemented the suggestions, even
though my versions are different. The error I currently
get is a failure in starting the ASF session on the media
server. I didn't know if encoder version 9 had a problem
with media server on Win2000. Anyway, further insight
appreciated. tx

Hi Bruce,

Because it could be a number of things, why don't we try
this: go to http://support.microsoft.com/ and do a search
on the error message. See what that returns. Also do
searches with the error message and the words "windows
media server" or "broadcast". A little diligence should
return the info to fix it.

Also, John L. recommended checking out the Broadcast
Resource Kit in response to your original posting.
