Comp A can see comp B but not vice versa.
When Comp B tries to see A, with \\192.168.0.1 it says "network path
was not found". If I do net use \\192.168.0.1 it gives a more
complete error message, sayign "system error 53".
Both comps run Win XP pro Sp2
firewall off
Both can ping each other
Both have "client for microsoft networks" listed
Both have the option of 'enable netbios over TCP/IP'
Both have guest accoutns turned on and enabled
Both have local policies that Allow access to Everyone and do not Deny
access to Guest
Both have 1 identical user account with the same username and 'full
name' It happens to use a blank password and both user accoutns are
memboers of the Administrators group.
