Office 2003 Pro/ Windows installer

Does anyone know why; after i run Offices updates as
admin. When I logon on as a local or domain user with
just user rights Windows installer runs everytime I open
Power point or Publisher.

I can't tell if you are updating multiple systems and the installer is running
the first time PowerPoint and Publisher are run on each of the systems, or is
this a case of one system and the installer runs every time you open PowerPoint
and Publisher on that system?
