When using XP "My Pictures" to send .jpg files in Outlook
Express 6, my friends tell me they get 11 copies of the e-
mail. Any ideas on this??
When I send a picture file (JPG) from My Pictures in an email, Outlook
Express creates and sends multiple copies of the email to the recipient
with the attachment. None of the recipient copies
of the email contain the attached picture - just a .dat or .txt file
with garbage in it.
If I send the email with the picture to myself, Outlook Express still
sends the multiple copies to me as well. However, the first copy is
placed in my inbox, and contains the picture OK. The other copies are
received and automatically put into the Deleted Items folder - like it
knows they are multiple/duplicate copies.
I have reinstalled the operating system about three times in the past
due to sound card problem - skipping/distortion etc. - I think it was
due to a conflict between Window Media and Real Player but I never did
confirm - the reinstall just fixed the problem so I just reinstalled
whenever it occurred.
I have had this problem only since the last reinstall which would have
also included all the Window XP updates like SP2. I have automatic
Windows update turned on.
Please can you help - let me know if you need any other information.
