Odd XP Pro crash

Hi - hope someone can help (I've been waiting to chat with
tech support for 2 hrs now)

I booted my laptop yesterday afternoon and got this error:

"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking
the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x80090019"

Click okay, go back to logon.

So because the software can't authenticate its legitimacy,
I'm locked out of my computer.

Anyone have any help/hints/prayers?

Yes - XP has been installed and activated for months.

All was working fine before this.
