Odd Printer Problem - Can't View Installed Printers or Add New Pri

Hello,

A user within a network can't print from most applications except Office.
In Office applications, the Print dialog box comes up and the installed
network printers are shown. But none of the printers are shown when I go
into Control Panel | Printers/Faxes. Nothing comes up when I click on Add
Printer or Server Properties. "An error has occurred" when I tried to print
something from Notepad. The print diaglog box does not come up within
Internet Explorer.

When I try to add a new printer directly from the print server, nothing
happens. No errors. I've tried re-starting the Print Spooler service. Did
not see any print errors in the event logs.

Any ideas? Greatly appreciated.
