object not found

Putting new PCI modem in my new machine which has XP
preloaded on it. Upon restart the Windows XP starts to
load but stops and displays "lsass.exe - system
error" "object name not found" lsass.exe

If you close or click "OK" the computer restarts and stops
again in the same spot. Shutting computer down while
Windows is loading will restart showing improper shutdown
screen and allow for a "Safe Mode" start but it too stops
with the same message as above.

I do not have a Windows Boot disk. How do I get past this
point to correct the missing file?
