NTOSKRNL.exe Missing or Corrupt

Hi,
I just upgraded my Win98 machine to Win2k Pro.The setup went normally,
but while booting the OS I got an error saying that <Windows 2000
Root>/\Winnt\System32\ntoskrnl.exe is Missing or Corrupt.
I tried booting from the CD ROM into Command mode but I cannot find the
Root Partition (Supposed to be C where the Winnt folder should be
located... I see the Contents of my D: on C: ...Is there any way I Can access
my root partition and replace the ntoskrnl.exe file?
