Nt 4.0 problem

We had our nt 4.0 server crash, i got it back up and running!! But now
certain software can not access a mapped drive which is on a linux box or
samba drive i guess you would say!! Here is there wierd part i can access
the drive through explorer but the software can not, the software people
says its my problem and not theres, since i did a fresh install of NT is
there anything i might have not done!!!
