nt backup could not detect tape

Hi all. The nt backup in my windows 2000 server could not detect the tape.
When i click on the 4mm dds link there is nothing on the right side neither
is there any free media detected. I could see that the tape drive led is
lighted up, device manager also detects that the tape drive is fine and tape
could be detected in removable storage under computer management. The tape
itself is not faulty as it can be detected by nt backup software of my other
pc. Is there anything i can do so that nt backup in my windows 2000 server
can detect the tape. Thks in advance.

Hi,

Did you try to "Enable" your removable device (in Device Manager...)> Then
you try to inventory (serveral times) before you can see it in NT backup.
