notes/extended desktop?

We use the extended desktop at church. I do some of the powerpoint. I am
doing it at home, then copying when I get there to the hard drive.

Someone else will be running it this week. There are sections that have a a
picture for the background, that are in between the words of a song, because
someone is singing solo that part.
What I have done is put it on a notation below the main frame. When we start
the show, and it goes to the extended desktop, on the computer screen, will
those notes appear below the main frame on the right, so she can follow
along then advance to the next slide? Say, the picture on the computer
screen, and projector, but on the computer the notes will be below the
picture.
Hope that makes sense in explaining it.
Thanks Bruce

Sounds like you want to use the 'Presenter View' option in PowerPoint.
- First the computer needs to be setup as an extended desktop (independent
images on local and projector)
- Second Go to SLIDE SHOW >> SET UP SHOW
- Then in the Multiple Monitors section change the drop-down menu to
'Secondary Monitor'
- In same section check the Presenter View

Now slideshow will display on projector and local monitor will have a
thumbnail of current slide, speaker notes and some playback controls. I
would recommend experimenting with this before the actual church service!

hi
Thanks, I think that is how it is setup now. Because on the extended view
you don't get all the windows icons, basically just the wallpaper, unless
you start ppt up, or drag something over too it.
I am mainly concerned when I bring it down that the notes appear below the
slide on the right bottom, so they can follow along.
Possibly I can get down early to double check.
thanks
Bruce
