Notes for presentation

Recently I seen a friend do a presention on a seperate programme from PP. On
there computer they had notes below there slide to assist when they were
presenting. However the notes did not appear on the projected slides. This
seems to make presenting more professional and easier. Is this possible in PP
and if so what version is it possible in? I see the notes section at the
bottom of each slide, but they don't appear on the computer when in full
screen.

Thanks

Hi

It's called Presenter View and is certainly available in 2002, 2003 and 2007
and I think also in 2000, and perhaps even 97 with an add-in (?). One of
PowerPoint's best hidden features that everybody loves when they find :)

To use it, you need an external monitor/projector attached, Windows set to
'extend desktop' (not mirror/clone), then tick the 'show presenter view'
tick box in the slide show -> set up show dialogue and select 'second
monitor' from the 'show slide show on' drop down.

If you need more instructions, please let us know your version.

Thanks Lucy. My version is 97-2002. I see the presenter view from the slide
show option. Obviously I can't try this untill I have a projector available.
Is it just a case of typing your notes below each slide and when you have
your projector set to multiple screen they will only appear on your computer
and not the projected show?

Thanks
