Try to open and is set to open to inbox and preview email.
Last email received i believe is corrupt and it is set to
preview the last email on every opening so every time I
open outlook it attempts to preview the corrupt email and
goes not responding. unable to deleate the email or change
any settings as i cant get the chance to before it's not
responding. is there a way to deleate the email without
opening or change settings or what should i do? Thanks

Start Outlook one time with the /nopreview switch to turn off the preview pane. Once you have Outlook open, delete the offending email and then close it. Remove the shortcut to allow Outlook to open normally.

Start->run-> outlook.exe /nopreview

After a lot of head-scratching, nsiem asked:

Microsoft News

Hi
Found this elsewhere:

Re-register these ocx & dlls.

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\dhtmled.ocx"

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\triedit.dll"

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\dhtmled.ocx"

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\triedit.dll"

I had a similar problem where the preview pane seemed to be hanging for
minutes at a time.

/Erik
