Outlook Outlook 97 not responding

Hello,
Using Outlook 97.
  • Yesterday openned outlook 97 and just saw the last few emails drop in. A short time after that when attempting to open the first email it asked if i wanted to open the entire group when only one email was indicated. The system then indicated busy, after a short time the system was still busy and at the top Outlook said "not responding" It took a visit to the task manager to exit. several repeats starts found the same problem.
  • Also found that without giving any instructions after opening outlook, it will still go to "not responding" almost immediately.
  • The bottom line is i can do anything at all, i have no access other than to look at a frozen inbox.
  • Any suggestions?
