Oh, I don't doubt that the least. There are many areas that were never spell
checked by a person, thus I leaned on a computer spell check until I could
actually have someone else spell check it. I have found over the years that
I cannot proof my own work.

You are most welcome to point out spelling and grammar issues, and what have
you not. I spent many long days and nights burning the candle at both ends,
thus leading to even more spelling and grammar issues. Do you know of any
professional proofing software?

FP 2003 will work just fine with Yahoo and their FP 2002 extensions.
Because, there are no FP 2003 extensions. FP 2003 uses the FP 2002 extensions.

your current host fully support FP 2003? What kind of control panel do you
get and what kind of DATA do you get to work with? Possibly I should at
least try a different provider for a test for one of my websites. So is
"simplenet.com" your host?

I would hardly call FP 2002 "outdated" - it is the second most recent release
being used today - not everyone has WinXP and FP 2003.

You could have bought FP 2003 since it doesn't use "server extensions 2003" it
uses the 2002 version of the S.E. - there's nothing new in FP2003 that requires
new server extensions.

OEM is "Original Equipment Manufacturer" - which usually indicates is is
"bundled" software sold usually with a significant hardware device - such as a
hard disk. e.g. if you buy a DVD-ROM player, you would get a software dvd
decoder player such as PowerDVD (OEM Version, not the Retail product). .....so in
this case Frontpage OEM has come with some hardware device (or in some instances
a new computer).

You'd be better using FP2003, or move to a host that fully supports whatever
features it offers.

Thanks for the tip. However, I always have that on. I need to update/replace
the spell check library, but not sure just how to go about that. Sometimes,
well, a lot of the time you can misspell a word as a simple test and spell
check does not see it. I then reboot the computer to get it to work again.
Soon, I will have a new computer to work with. Does FP 2002 come with its
very own (spell check) dictionary?

I had trouble with my FP 2003 and now I think it was do to me, as I did not
follow Yahoo's guidelines in getting set up properly as I never had to do
that with FP 2000 before. Just because I have 4 years under my belt and
hundreds of hours with FP 2000 does not mean I know what I am doing on a
professional level. I am still very much an armature at this, despite my
experience. The features that Yahoo does not support for FP 2003 are a bit
over my head at this point as I don't even see myself using those features
anyway. My sites are very basic, but as I learn more, I might change my
tune. I don't even know what I would use server extensions for.

At this point I've lost the original topic.
You seem to be intent on 2002. Buying 2002 is like buying last weeks
newspaper. If you're gonna buy anything, why not go for the latest? 2003
works great on Yahoo using the 2002 extensions as you've read here. (2002
IS the latest FPSE). And yes, both have spell checkers. I believe they
share the dictionary with Word.
Remember, just using tools will not give you a great product. It's how you
use the tools.

If FP 2003 leans on WORD's dictionary, then I'm in trouble as it has a lot
of misspelled words in it, as the WORD version I have is from 1998 or 99 and
many different users have added there version of spellings to the
dictionary. Possibly there is a way to delete all those added words?

You can just delete it, it will be recreated if need be.
If its a legal copy, how can many different users have added to it.
You should have spent the money on a new office suite instead of FP2002.

Most of my stuff is with alentus.com now, except for 3 I think are still on linux boxes on local servers here in my town. Alentus is in Canada i think..but they're really good - full windows support.

I will follow your advise as I pay for all of my licenses, thus all should
go well.

To answer your question, "how can many different users have added to it?"
Every time WORD finds a word that is not in its dictionary, it gives the
user a few options, one of which is, "ADD" to dictionary. Since the
computer I'm currently on is used by others, many words have been added to
the dictionary by users, including myself. However, I use a dictionary first
before adding a new spelling to WORD.

I did spend money not only on a new office suite, but a brand new computer
about 7 months ago, however, it's out of commission due to a worm and I have
not been able to resolve that problem yet and hope to do so very soon. I ran
a suppurate business on that computer that oversaw my merchant account, thus
the HD is full of customer info, so I cannot simply take it in for repair.
So I bought a second HD and will format it with the original OS software.
Since I have several computers to fall back on, I have been slow in getting
around to it. I tried it once, and got a bunch of messages that made no
sense to me. In the past, I would normally just take it into a shop, but I
moved to a remote area where there nearest city is an eighty-five mile
round trip.

So, I will use tech support via the phone to have them walk me through it.
I've installed a few HD's over the years, but something is over my head this
time around.
