Not able to remove mapped network drives???!!!

I have a strange problem with mapped network drives on my
notebook. Its a Compaq Presario 1700 series notbook
installed with Xp professional. First, I've mapped some
network shares on the server as local drives in my
notebook ( say as E: and F:). Then one time when logged-in
some network drives were not connected for some share
access problem. Later this was solved and I can access the
network shares, but the local drives were not mapped
anymore those network shares, but the drive letter still
the there. Then I disconnected the network drives, but then
the drive letters E: & F: were changed to removable disks
!!! but I dun have any removable disks. And I cannot get
rid of these removable disks and free those drive letters???

Any help would be gratly appreciated!°

Thanks in advance,
Shafeer.

Hi,

Try opening a Command Prompt (Start>Run>cmd)
Type 'net use' and hit return key.

This should list all drives on your system.
Use the 'net use <drive letter>: /d' command to delete
mapped drives (e.g. 'net use e: /d')

Regards,

tim
