Norton 2002 vs. 2004

I've posted this before, but no response.
I'm currently using Norton Systemworks 2002 with Win XP Home. I get updates to the virus
program automatically about once a week. Is there any reason to "upgrade" to the newer
2004 or 2005 version? How would this be any different than using what I have and
updating it regularly?

Well, I don't think NAV 2002 will be compatible with XP SP2.

From what I heard it will still work fine, but certain features of sp2 will
not recognize nav.

Also, before subscribing check out the yearly price. I was told it went up
to $30, but I could be wrong.

Don't even bother with 2004. If you are going to stay with Norton, go
with 2005.
It has a different 'engine' and will do a much better job than 2002.
Even 2003 will not be supported by email and tech support after some
time in Sep04, I believe.
Yes, 2002 is outdated (not able to do the job), even if you keep it
updated.

Both 2002 and 2003 work properly under SP2, as they did under SP1. The
only thing they don't do is the Security Center status reporting, and
that's a Symantec fix.
