No Standard Toolbar in IE6

My IE6 only shows an icon bar consisting of the back, forward, refresh
and History buttons that work OK, but no Standard Toobar (File, Edit,
View, Tools, Actions, etc.), nor any other toolbars, just an address
field. Other icons show but the balloon functions show incorrectly.
Even Right Clicking on the empty space to the right of the icons does
not bring up a menu to turn on any toolbars.

Here is the kicker, my WINDOWS EXPLORER is exactly the same way,
except for some different icons.

All of the toolbars of other programs, including OFFICE work OK.

This seems to be a registry issue.

Hi,
A third-party toolbar or other program may be causing this.

1. Try... Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck Enable third-party browser
extensions. Restart.

2. Uninstall third-party toolbars (Yahoo, Google, Google Desktop, etc.)
Restart.

3. Download the REG file from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFAQ.htm#IEToolbars
Right-click> Merge. This should return the default IE toolbar.

Hope this helps,
Don

That's not surprising. Windows Explorer and IE are essentailly the same
program. It's kind of like one clown with two masks.
