*********HELP! IE 6 wont save toolbar settings. Please read inside.********

Bob

I am running Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106 and recently added (now
removed the latest Google toolbar).

Whether the Google toolbar is added or now removed, the IE toolbars
refuse to keep the custom settings that I put in.

These settings are:
1- When I select customize toolbar (right click on the toolbar and
select customize), I choose SHOW TEXT LABELS rather than SELECTIVE
TEXT ON RIGHT and choose LARGE ICONS. I close IE and reopen it. The
settings are now SELECTIVE TEXT ON RIGHT and small icons.

2- I have the following toolbars open:
Top Line: Standard Buttons
Middle Line: Address Toolbar
Bottom Line: Links Toolbar.
If google was around, then google was next to last toolbar.

After I close the program and reopen it, the Links toolbar moves all
the way to the right of the address toolbar. I cannot get it to stay
on its own line.

Any fix for these problems? I wrote to google but they say that once
the Google Toolbar is removed, they are not causing IE6 a problem.

Is it some Registry setting that is the problem.

PS: I did remove IE6. The IE5 that replaced IE6 had the same problem.
Re-installing IE6 SP1 and same problem.

PLEASE help me here.
Thanks

Bob
