No printer driver after rebooting??

I have 2 Win2000 Pro workstations connected to one Lexmark Z25 printer. I
have the printer physically connected to computer3 and shared through the
peer to peer network. Recently when I reboot computer1 the printer driver
deletes. If I reinstall the printer driver, all works fine until it reboots
again. Then the printer driver icon and connection is gone again... I have
reinstalled the operating system and it still has the same result. I have
one Computer connected that is running ME and it never drops the printer
connection or icon... IDEAS????

Sounds like the Spooler service is failing to start at boot time.

Try

Start
Run
type
services.msc
click OK
<Services opens>
navigate to

Print Spooler

check its status it should be

Started & Automatic

additionally you can manually start it

Start
Run
type
net start spooler
click OK

or from a CMD prompt
Start
Run
type
CMD
click OK
<CMD prompt opens>
type
net start spooler
press enter

to stop the spooler
type
net stop spooler
press enter
