No option to change workgroup/domain

Y

Yor Suiris

I have inherited a Win2k Pro machine. It was in a workgroup and we would
like to add it to our AD domain.
But, the Network ID Options are not available (greyed out). Can not change
workgroup name either.
What am I missing?

Can't change the workgroup name

1. Make sure you logon as administrator.

2. If you are the member of administrators, but can't change the workgroup name (the Network ID and Workgroup are gray out), make sure you have installed the Client For Microsoft Networks.

Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.

I recommend Brinkster for web hosting!
