Then added "home" on next post.

We were scammed, lied to, taken advantage of.........

Nevermind.

LOL!

I've been reading this group for ages and find it very useful but I think
now that some people are making 20 posts at a time with stuff that is of
limited use to most people I don't come here so often.

I am asking for all those that find this annoying to reply to this post in
the hope that these posters understand how we feel and stop doing
it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or perhaps the word *was* correctly spelled but just used in an unusual
and creative way.

IMO, he should at least add the important point made by Sha and Onno in
this thread, that our frequent flooders don't check the programs to
make sure that they are not posting adware/shareware/spyware/&c., and
that such stuff has shown up in their floods.

Adware, shareware and spyware programs "show up" in single posts as
well. Programs mentioned in a supposed "flood" aren't any more prone
to this situation than are a group of single postings.

Regards, John.

Now, we've all read a masterful and profound observation.
thank you for the compliment.
Appropriate that at least one very simple word was incorrectly spelled.
if you are criticizing my spelling of the word 'maroon', it was meant
to be 'maroon' and not 'moron'. 'moron' is far too common...

and if you weren't speaking about my usage of the word 'maroon', it
may have been the inadvertent keyswitch betwixt the second 'a' and
solo 'b' in 'masturabtes'? sorry if *that confused you...

Sure they are more likely, as the history of the flooders has shown.

PT seems to do a better job of weeding out such things than Tramp,
probably because Tramp considers adware, demoware, &c., to be
freeware and because PT tends to post entire freeware websites,
broken down into single posts.

For all your faults, I can't knock your viewing habits. :)

Whilst I can accept that ad/spy and share/demo ware may be put forward in
single posts, this seems, simply form reading the posts here to be far less
likely. These are often made in response to a request for a freeware
program that can do a specific "thing" and the replies are again often from
people who are using the program they recommend. This may not stop someone
from posting details of a dodgy proggie, but I'd personally trust these
posters more than someone who simply appears to be trawling through the www
looking for free programs then posting them here without any apparent
further research.

I also note that single posts for freeware usually include a link to the
programs home page so that potential users can find out more info for
themselves (granted that if someone is pushing a product containing ad or
spyware they may not be announcing it in 72pt font on their frontpage, but
at least you can usually find something more out before installing) Tramp in
particular often just posts a direct download link which could contain
anything...
