No background colors or images

IE7 or other browsers for that matter, is displaying CSS settings ie. no
background colors, images, font attributes etc that are stated in CSS when
using IE7. Everything is displayed on other computers, just not this one.
Recently installed Office 2000 and XP Home after doing an FDISK.
I've looked everywhere on the internet and the only suggestion is to go to:
Start/Control Panel/Accessibility Options/Adjust Contract for text and colors
on your screen. This has worked well for others, but nothing happens when I
click on this option. It's like its disabled.
Any help would be great.

High Contrast can cause this symptom. To toggle it try pressing
LeftAlt+LeftShift+PrintScrn

Hi,
I think you're looking in the right place, but you want High Contrast to
*not* be enabled.

You may also want to click on Settings and uncheck Use Shortcut. That will
disable the Alt+Shift+Print Screen shortcut to High Contrast so that it
can't be inadvertently enabled.

Hope this helps,
Don
