no background images

Using,
Windows 98 Second Edition, Microsoft IE 6.0, Outloook Express 6.
When surfing I with the internet I am missing background colors, receiving
only the printed words and
animations.
When using Outlook express, I now can not insert background color using
HTML not
plain text.
Viewing stationery I see main picture but no background images.
After 4 days of trying, not suceeding I am asking for help, please.

Here are a few other things you might try:

Clearing the TIF Cache -

Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files

Update Video Driver

Right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop.
Click on Device Manager
Find Display Monitor and click on the + next to it
Double click on the file listed

Here you will find the information on your video driver. Then go to the
website for mfg. of the video driver and look for the update to
download and install. There may also be a Update Driver button on the
dialog box you can use to go direct to the update download site.

Try reducing hardware acceleration at control panel, display, settings,
advanced, performance
