i have outlook 2000 on win2k prof. when i try to move my
mails from my inbox to any of my sub-folders within my
inbox the system goes slow and comes up with this
error "CANT MOVE THE ITEMS. THE ITEM COULD NOT BE MOVED.
IT WAS EITHER ALREADY MOVED OR DELETED, OR ACCESS WAS
DENIED."

i need to access these folders as they contain important
official docs.

Try running the "Detect and Repair" from the HELP menu
in Outlook.

You may also want to run the SCANPST tool.
Try looking on Sue Mosher's Slipstick site:

To repair a damaged Personal Folders PST file

Help menu->Detect and Repair from any Office program will do the trick.

I don't know if you received an answer already, but this
happens when your personal mail file is reaches it's
maximum size (which I believe is 2 GB). You need to set up
another file and should be able to save your emails there.
