*Hi Lionel- I have the exact same problem as you, immediately after
upgrading to SP2. I can surf the web, send email, etc using my
Comcast cable internet connection and a Belkin NIC card, but the
connection does not show in Network Connections. Not a big deal
except that I have lost my other home networking connections and I
cannot re-establish these without specifying my internet connection-
which is no longer visible so I have nothing to specify in th
network
setup wizard!
Oh, and to make this doubly irritating- I tried to remove the NI
card
and reboot, in plans of reinstalling it so the PC would find it- and
all this did was setoff the Windows Activiation thing, so now I have
to reactivate in 3 days.
If I can't solve the NIC card problem I will just restore my system
from a Ghost backup I made just before updating to SP2, to remed
both
the NIC card and the Activation problems. A little added securit
is
not worth all this headache!
