new system64 cloned from old vista 32

Have new Vista Home 64 upgrade.
Building new system with i7-920/DX58SO, where is the best place to install
the new 64bit vista? If i install on the existing old vista HD can I move
the HD to the new system and Boot and use all the old stuff still on the
hard drive?
I would like to get the New System working with the software and hardware
from the old one. Once it is stable i can move the old system out and give
it away excluding the hard drive.
Can it be done. ....

I believe he is hinting to you that you posted your question in the wrong
forum. As for pushing you in the right direction, half the battle is
knowing you asked the question in the wrong place. That ought to be a
pretty decent push.

Just as when you dial a phone number that turns out to be the wrong one
it's unreasonable to expect the person who answered to know the correct
phone number for the person you're trying to reach, you shouldn't expect
us to know exactly what forum you should be posting in. We just know this
one isn't it.

I recommend that however you found this particular forum, try again except
be more careful this time to pay attention to the forum descriptions so
that you get to the right place.

Thanks for the Lecture, actually i do appreciate it.
You must have been a teacher sometime in your life because you were very
clear that i was wrong.
I cloned the old system using true image 11 but cannot boot windows. tryed
to repair and install and microsoft did not like may id's?

Your question relates to restoring a Vista installation - nothing whatsoever
to do with the .NET Framework.

So you will already know that your question has nothing whatsoever to do
with the .NET Framework, i.e. you're posting in the wrong newsgroup

Which is why I asked you what they told you in the Vista newsgroup(s).

I'm guessing from your response that you haven't posted in any of the Vista
newsgroups...

Generally speaking, people get far better responses to questions by posting
in an appropriate newsgroup...
