New Install of Windows WP Home Edition will not boot up

I did a new install of Windows XP Home Edition on a computer I built last
year. I pressed F6 to install drivers. I get through the entire install
seemingly okay, then when it restarts, the Windows XP screen appears for a
second then goes away and it reboots. It keeps doing this and after a couple
of times it goes to where it can be started in the Safe Mode, which works.
It will not boot. Any suggestions on what is wrong? Thank you.

If you do not intend to install onto SATA or SCSI drives, do NOT press F6
when prompted so to do..

If you can boot into safe mode okay, have you tried, rather than safe
mode, scrolling down below "Safe Mode" to "Enable VGA Mode"? Could be
a problem with the video card.

HTH YMMV

That worked! Thank you. I am grateful to you. I have a All In Wonder
9600XT and it is contrary sometimes.

The things that seem to be missing is the ethernet controller, multimedia
audio controller, and PCI simple communications controller. Do you happen to
know where I get the drivers for those? They have a yellow ? in Other
Devices in the Device manger.

Glad to hear!

If you built the computer, you should know the hardware. If all of
your devices are built on the MB, go the the vendors site, download
and install current drivers for what you need. Same with any other
hardware not built on the MB...go to the vendors web site, download
and install the drivers.

If you still have the original disks that came with the MB and other
hardware, you can install those to get you going until you download
the most current drivers?
