Network Win98 to XP Pro

Win98 can see the XP Pro machine in the workgroup (no
domain used) but cant access shared folders. Two other
Win2000 machines can access XP OK. Is this a prob with
the Win98 setup or permossions on XP Pro.
What is the best protocol to use across these different
widows platforms?
Any other suggestions to solve this welcomed.

Better you TCP/IP protocol and create a user in WIN XP
machine (the user named created in the windows 98 machine).
Right click on my network neighborhood and choose manage.
there under users & local users , create a user which is
created in windows 98. try this
