Network Setup Wizard cannot complete

I had two computers networked but now they will not
communicate. When I tried to reset a network with the
wizard, I get a 'Spooler SubSystem App' error message and
it shuts down, unable to complete. The wizard says to set
up manually. Any workaround for that error or where to
find instructions for manual set-up would be appreciated.
TIA.

I've seen this before, and although I don't know why it happens,
the following seemes to be an effective work-around:

Go to a command prompt.
Before running the wizard, enter this command:

net stop spooler

After running the wizard, enter this command:

net start spooler

Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close
Causes: 1. Bad printer driver. 2. New MS update conflicts with the printer
driver.
