NETWORK SET UP DISK

Whilst going through the NETWORK SET UP WIZARD SCREENS, I can go through all
the screens until I come the " create network disk screen" when I choose NEXT
at this point, I get a message up saying

" the wizard had detected that the computer has no floppy disk drives or
other removable media you need such a device to create a network set up disk"

My pc is a laptop with CD/ DVD RW SO this is clearly not the case - it
woould appear that the wizard cannot detect the DVD drive

Can anyone help??

The Network Setup Wizard can't write to a CD or DVD. If you want to
run the Wizard on other computers, you can manually write its
executable file to a CD or DVD:

C:\Windows\System32\Netsetup.exe

If the other computers have Windows XP, you don't need to create a
Wizard disk. You can run the Wizard directly on Windows XP by
clicking Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network
Setup Wizard.

However, despite what the Wizard tells you, you never have to run it
on other computers. On a computer running Windows 95, 98, Me, or
2000, you can make the settings manually in Control Panel > Network:

1. Add these network components if they aren't already present:

TCP/IP protocol
Client for Microsoft Networks
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

2. Remove these network components if they're present:

IPX/SPX protocol
NetBEUI protocol
Client for NetWare networks

3. Set the workgroup name to the same name as the Windows XP computer
uses (default for XP is MSHOME).
