network problems after installing sp2

I have a wired network with two computers, one running
windows millenium edition and one with windows XP, on
which i have recently installed SP2. After installing,
the network is left one-sided. Internet works fine on
both, but only the XP computer can use the other's files.
I can not access files on the XP from the millenium. It
asks for a password to access files or a printer on the
XP, and i have never set up a password for those things.
This doesnt happen when i am using the XP and accessing
the Millenium, *only* vice versa. I have no idea what the
password is and/or how to disable it. I have disabled all
firewalls and all of the security from SP2, but i still
have a problem. What else can i do to disable a network
password?

Is that Windows XP Home or Professional?

You may have to enable the Guest account on the Windows XP
computer, as described in
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm#Networking_problems_after_installing_Service_Pack_2,
subchapter "Connect as".
