Network password pop-up

J

J. Lau

Windows XP Home Edition 2002. When my Outlook 2002 is
open I am constantly getting an Enter Network Password
pop-up window. It is already pre-filled with my internet
service provider's Server, User ID and Password info.
This window pops-up whether I have a new message or not -
about every minute or so and sometimes more frequently. I
am not on a network. I have to click OK (twice)to get rid
of it temporarily, but how do I get rid of it for good?

Hi,

If this isn't the Protected Storage System Provider issue (passwords not
being saved), this can happen either when a user name or password has
recently been changed and it hasn't kicked in yet, you have another added
account that either hasn't been fully activated and/or that the particular
server, etc is down. This should only be temporary, in the latter case.
