Network Error

Hi Group,
Here is the whole situation: i have win xp on 2 laptops(Compaq and
Pavilion), and i have a wi-fi network for file and internet sharing.
All of a sudden, Compaq stopped accesing the folders of Pavilion,
neither am i able to access the network contents. If i try to access
network, it says:

"\\pavilion\documents is not accessible. You might not have permission
to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this network
to find out if you have access permissions. The semaphore timeout
period has expired".

This problem arised on its own and i have not done ANY changes in the
settings, etc. Anyone has any idea what exactly is the problem.

Sandy,

We have found lately that an error 121, aka semaphore timeout, is a result of
LSP / Winsock corruption.

Unfortunately, in your case, you'll have to treat both computers. If you read
the above article, and prefer to diagnose the problem first, provide "browstat
status" and "ipconfig /all" from both computers. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):
