Network drive share name missing in Explorer window

J

Jay

I have SP1 based XP embedded image and it includes following components
File Sharing

Map Network Drives/Network Places Wizard
Msxml Libraries
Network Command Shell Interface Context .
Primitive: MPRUI
TCP/IP Networking with File Sharing and Client for MS Networks

When I map a network drive (on Target device ) from other computer running
XP Pro, The drive maps OK but in the My computer window it don't display the
share name next to drive letter.

Any idea what other component may be missing .

TIA

Jay

Jay,

How do you map network drive on XPe side?
From some API or command line tool or from GUI?

I have seen this behavior on XPP as well when using low level functions like
NetUseAdd.

Jay,

I have been thinking on this issue today but I have not figured out what
could be the problem :-(
Try creating XP Pro like image to see if it is missing component problem or
some setting problem. I do not have any smarter approach for now :-(

Slobodan
