Cannot share hard drive on the network

This is driving me nuts. I replaced my old computer on
the network making sure that the OS was the same (XP
Pro), the computer name was the same and the workgroup is
the same. This computer connects to a Linksys router to
share the Internet connection with the three other
desktops in the office the Internet sharing works fine. I
set the hard drive to share on the network, however I
cannot map the drive from any other computer. The new
computer shows up in the workgroup computers, and from
the new system I can browse any of the other desktops but
no matter what I try I cannot seem to share my new hard
drive on the network. Since this is where the main
database is maintained it is absolutely essential that I
be able to do this.

I have tried
1. Renaming the new computer to a different name.
2. Changing all the systems to a new workgroup.
3. Turning off file sharing, rebooting, turning on
file sharing to reset the permissions and rebooting.

Can someone help before I go batty???????? Email replies
appreciated.

What error do you receive when you try to map the drive?

Have you tried mapping the drive from the command line using the IP address?

net use x: \\ipaddress\c
